Overview

Manufactured from 2004 through the end of 2006, the Power Curbers 5700-SUPER-B was a mid-generation refresh of the 5700-B curb & gutter machine. Its 133 HP Deutz diesel engine represented a 50% increase in horsepower over its predecessor, allowing operators to trim more and pour more. The redesigned platform raised the operator's console for better visibility of the auger and chute, added a two-step extension for easier access, moved the hydraulic and engine coolant radiators externally to reduce operator-cabin heat, and grouped fuel, oil, air and high-pressure servo filters at eye level for faster service. Rotary controls enabled fractional adjustments to in-ground or conveyor speeds; the direct-drive auger conveyor replaced the belt drive of earlier machines; and heavier crawler frames with increased torque handled soft-grade and inclined work. The 5700-SUPER-B was replaced in production by the 5700-C in 2007 and is offered today only through the Power Curbers pre-owned programme; some numerical specifications remain configuration-specific and are not published on the official archive page.

Highlights

  • 50% more horsepower vs. earlier 5700-B — trim more, pour more
  • Raised operator console and two-step extension — better visibility of auger and chute
  • Externally mounted hydraulic and engine coolant radiators — cooler operator platform
  • Filters grouped at eye level (fuel, engine oil, air, high-pressure servo) for faster daily service
  • Rotary controls for fractional in-ground / conveyor speed changes — smoother, more consistent curb
  • Direct-drive hydrostatic auger conveyor with high torque — replaces earlier belt drive
  • Heavier crawler frame with increased torque and hydraulic chain-tension adjuster
  • Doors are removable; battery pivots out for easier service

Applications

  • Curb & gutter, ribbon curb and monolithic sidewalk work
  • Tight-radius pours in parking lots, medians and islands
  • Barrier / parapet slipforming on the earlier 5700 platform
  • Center-pour paths (bicycle, golf-cart) with appropriate mold configuration
  • General reconstruction work where a previous-generation Power Curbers machine is preferred
