Overview
Introduced in 2009 on the 5700-C platform, the 5700-C-MAX bundles a set of upgrades — a heavier main frame, all-crawler steering, larger crawlers with a slower gear ratio, low-speed crawler torque hubs, three extra vibrator circuits (nine total) and a higher-capacity hydraulic system — that push the machine's paving envelope to its widest and tallest. Compared with a standard 5700-C, the MAX package raises maximum offset paving width from 7 ft (2 m) to 8 ft (2.5 m), maximum center-pour width from 10 ft (3 m) to 12 ft (3.65 m), and maximum barrier height from 5 ft (1.5 m) to 8 ft (2.5 m). Because the MAX package is a factory-fitted option on the 5700-C, the base engine (Cummins QSB4.5-130C, 130 HP), 42" trimmer, 1 yd³ auger conveyor and SmartAmp / networked digital controls carry over. Manufactured through the end of 2019; today the 5700-C-MAX is available only through Power Curbers' pre-owned programme.

Highlights
- Heavier main frame and larger crawlers for the widest 5700-series paving profiles
- All-crawler steering standard — required for stringless machine-control systems
- Low-speed crawler torque hubs for heavier loads and steeper grades
- Three extra vibrator circuits (nine total) with independent variable-speed control
- Higher-capacity hydraulic system to drive wider molds and taller barrier profiles
- Full 3D/stringless readiness with networked digital controls
- Retains 5700-C base — Cummins QSB4.5 diesel, 42" trimmer, 1 yd³ auger, SmartAmp controls
Applications
- Large barrier walls up to 8 ft (2.5 m) tall
- Center-pour paving up to 12 ft (3.65 m) wide — golf-cart, bicycle and utility paths
- Offset paving up to 8 ft (2.5 m) wide — sidewalk, monolithic sidewalk-with-curb, wide ribbon curb
- Canal and drainage projects with large or custom molds
- Rail beds, tunnel utility channels and stadium risers with heavier profiles
- Barrier wall adjacent to existing structures where all-crawler steering is required
