Cookie & Local Storage Notice

1. What we currently use

The Site uses local browser storage to remember your selected interface language so that it is applied automatically on your next visit.

The Site also uses local browser storage for the Batch Request feature (storage key rentek.equipment-request-list.v1) to remember the manufacturer/model/category identifiers, quantities, optional notes and date added for the items you have added. This list stays in your browser until you clear it locally, and is not submitted to RENTEK until you send the request. Please do not include sensitive personal data in the notes.

The Site also uses technically necessary session and security mechanisms required for the Site to function safely, including protecting forms against abuse.

Until you answer the consent banner, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. The only cookies a visitor receives before consenting are two technical infrastructure cookies:

Both cookies identify a session purely technically and are not used to measure or profile anyone.

• __dpl — set by the hosting platform: it pins the visitor to one deployed version of the Site so that a page and its assets are never loaded from two different builds at once. Lifetime: 24 hours.
• __cf_bm — set by Cloudflare: it distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic. Lifetime: about 30 minutes.

2. Advertising and profiling

The Site uses Google Ads conversion measurement, but only after you accept it in the consent banner shown at the bottom of the page. Until you accept, no advertising or analytics cookies are set. The Site never uses Google Signals, remarketing audiences, personalised advertising or behavioural profiling, whichever choice you make.

2a. Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4)

The Site can use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-QV1P74C05K, provided by Google Ireland Limited) to measure how visitors interact with the Site in aggregate. Data collected includes page views, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, screen size, language and interaction events. No form contents, names, emails, phone numbers, message text or other personal identifiers are sent to Google.

Google Analytics is optional. The measurement script is not loaded and no analytics requests are sent until you explicitly accept analytics in the consent banner. Your choice is stored locally in your browser under the key rentek.analytics-consent.v1. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. When you accept, the Site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us that an enquiry came from an advertisement. The Site does not use Google Signals, remarketing, personalised advertising or behavioural profiling — advertising personalisation stays switched off even for visitors who accept.

3. Third-party content

The Contact page provides a link that opens Google Maps in a new tab. The map provider receives data only when you open the link, under its own terms and privacy policy. Other third-party links or embeds are governed by the policies of the respective providers.

4. Managing storage in your browser

You can view, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Removing technically necessary storage may affect Site functionality, including your saved language preference.

5. Updates

We may update this notice if the Site's use of cookies or local storage changes. The current version is identified by the effective date and version shown at the top of this page.
