Overview
The HOFMANN H17 is a narrow, highly manoeuvrable self-propelled road marking machine covering medium capacities. It supports cold paints, 2-component cold plastics, sprayable 2-component cold plastics, thermoplastics and sprayable thermoplastics — configured per system, not simultaneously. A hydraulic wheel-motor drive with infinitely variable speed regulation and a hydraulic multiple-disc parking brake underpin the platform, and the operator cockpit and controls can be moved to either side for panoramic visibility, including reversing. The selected low-emission configuration uses a 4-cylinder 1,500 cm³ Kubota water-cooled turbo diesel rated at 33.0 kW at 3,000 rpm, certified to EU Stage V / US EPA Tier 4 with DOC and DPF. Air output reaches 800–1,200 l/min at 7.5 bar with a compressed-air cooler; the pressurised bead container is 100 l at max. 0.8 bar.
