Overview
The HOFMANN H16-3 is a narrow, highly manoeuvrable self-propelled road marking machine designed for small- to mid-capacity work. A hydraulic wheel-motor drive with infinitely variable speed control, a hydraulic multi-disc parking brake, a long wheelbase with backlash-free front-wheel steering, rear-mounted application units and a low driver seat with an accessible engine compartment define the platform. The H16-3 supports cold paint, 2-component cold plastic, sprayable 2-component cold plastic, thermoplastic and sprayable thermoplastic — configured per system, not simultaneously. Two engine options are offered: a standard 26.2 kW Kubota 1,500 cm³ 4-cylinder diesel (EU Stage IIIA / US EPA Tier 2) and an optional 33.0 kW Kubota 1,500 cm³ 4-cylinder turbo diesel (EU Stage IIIA / US EPA Tier 4 Interim). A 2-cylinder compressor supplies up to 1,000 l/min at 6 bar. Line widths of 10–50 cm and a 70 l glass-bead container round out the equipment.
