Overview
The Ammann ARR 1585-2 is a Stage V skid-steer trench roller for confined compaction work. Four independent drive motors, 360° on-the-spot turning and up to 30% gradeability make it manoeuvrable in trenches, along pipelines and on backfill. Single-stage vibration delivers 75 kN centrifugal force at 1.6 mm amplitude and 33 Hz. Power comes from a Kubota D1105 diesel rated at 15.6 kW at 2,400 rpm. Operation is by infrared remote control with near-field safety technology. Standard equipment includes an automatic intelligent LED beacon, central lifting point, ECOdrop, battery disconnect and eROPS; Ammann ACE compaction measurement is available as an option.
