Overview
Power Curbers Companies works directly with all three major 3D machine-control providers — Topcon, Leica Geosystems and Trimble — so its slipform curb machines and pavers can be paired with a stringless positioning system. The machines are pre-wired for 3D and can be retrofitted with the appropriate mast, wiring kit and rover; positioning gear is supplied by the chosen provider. Stringless operation removes the labour of setting hubs and stringline, cuts material overrun (documented savings of ~10 % on curb pours), enables paving in tight sites (tree cover, radii, dam faces), and works both above and below grade. Compatible base machines include the 5700-C, 5700-D and 5700-D-MAX curb machines with all-crawler steering, and the SF-2700 / SF-3000 slipform pavers. All-crawler steering and the network control system are required on machines from model year 2007 or newer.
